Landscape
A building cannot be divorced from the site on which it sits. Whether the site is a constrained corner of urban in-fill, a suburban tract, or rural open space, Ambia’s landscape architecture seeks to blur the line between the natural and the built environment and work with our architectural design team to provide a holistic project for our clients.
At Ambia, we are aware of the issues involved in the process of site and infrastructure development whether they be open space and sensitive area preservation, implementing Growth Management Plan policies, biotechnical solutions to stormwater and runoff conditions, or using drought-tolerant native plant material and implementing low water consumption irrigation systems. Ambia provides landscape services for all phases of work, including preliminary design, construction documents, as well as handling project administration and construction observation.
Ambia's Landscape Studio is led by Duane Edwards whose horticultural background complements his site planning skills. He has served as a professional design consultant on a wide range of projects throughout Washington State for more than 25 years. Varying in size and complexity, projects include parks, schools, medical clinics, hospitals, corporate office parks, shopping centers, multi-family housing, military housing and playgrounds, and residences.
