Cost Estimating
Established as one of the most accurate construction cost services in Washington, Ambia Cost Estimating shows clients how they can get the most for their money.
Our practice has proven that well managed construction cost estimating often results in buildings that are more aesthetically appealing, more adaptable, and endure longer than more expensive counterparts. Ambia’s philosophy is simple: We apply funds where they are needed; not where they are unnecessary.
Without a good understanding of component costs, there is a tendency in design to enlarge spaces, overuse materials, and over-design systems. Ambia avoids this. Our designers and cost estimators work in tandem, each having a clear understanding of site, building and use requirements and options for each. During the initial phases of design, we provide well thought out design options that satisfy structural and functional needs, yet allow our clients aesthetic choices. Nothing extraneous is designed into the project, and nothing important omitted.
Ambia’s in-house cost estimating is led by Richard Miller, a former construction supervisor, contractor estimator and construction firm owner. Mr. Miller works with state-of-the-art software and subscribes to the latest estimating services. Detailed cost breakout can be easily completed to ensure compliance with budget.
We are accountable. When it occasionally happens that cost opinions exceed available funds; we take the initiative to bring it back into line.
Ambia’s record for cost control over the last 15 years is to average 2.5% over actual accepted bids. This is an outstanding record of which we are justifiably proud.
