Architecture
At Ambia, Architecture is a collaborative art: Collaboration between client and architect, among design team members, between building and site, site and community. We work with the client to develop a full understanding of the discrete needs of the project, and closely involve them in the architectural design process. Ambia designs to satisfy client’s aesthetic desires and meet their functional objectives with creative, realistic solutions that will endure.
Ambia provides a full range of architectural services, including master planning, predesign studies, programming, and architectural design and construction documentation including specifications. We focus our planning and design work on five specific project types: Higher Education and K-12 Education, Governmental, Commercial, and Residential. Each project type is supported by a focused studio of design professionals and support staff. Each studio is directed by a principal with extensive knowledge and experience in the specific project type.
Commitment to Sustainability
By employing sustainable design concepts, Ambia demonstrates environmental responsibility through creating more eco-friendly facilities, without sacrificing the aesthetics of good architectural design. Ambia has been committed to sustainable design since the 1970s - well before the current US Green Building Council’s LEED® certification program was enacted. Whether simply striving to be environmentally responsible or actively seeking LEED® certification, Ambia’s LEED®-accredited professionals are available to play an active role in helping define objectives, identify opportunities for sustainable approaches, and see that sustainability goals are implemented on all projects.
