History

Ambia is the resultant merger of two well-established Puget Sound area firms: Duarte Bryant and the BJSS Group.

While Duarte Bryant had been practicing from its Pioneer Square office in Seattle since the late 1980s, The BJSS Group has had a strong presence in Olympia and Thurston County since 1961. With a shared commitment to creating quality architecture and maintaining client-oriented service, the two firms combined forces as BJSS Duarte Bryant in 1999, and shortly after, Ambia was born, marking a new era in the life of the firm.
